Spartathlon — ENTRY ROUTE
Filter by whether a qualifying time is required
ENTRY ROUTE
Only runners aged 18 or over who have met one of the set qualifying standards (e.g. 100 miles in 21 hours, 180 km in a 24-hour race) at an official race within the last 3 years may apply.
If more than 400 qualified runners apply, the places left after automatic selections are allocated by electronic lottery in March.
Runners with a performance at least 25% better than the standard, those with 10 or more Spartathlon finishes,
single applicants from their country and the previous year's men's and women's winners are selected directly without the lottery.
Up to 40 runners from Japan, 30 from Germany, 50 from Greece and a maximum of 25 from each other country are accepted;
Japanese and German runners must apply through their national office.
