The city you want to run becomes your next trip.

THE DREAM
Held in Split, Croatia.
This is a course that runs around the city along the Adriatic coast.
It operates as a running festival with multiple events held across winter and spring seasons.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“A wind gust briefly halted my progress.”A Split full-marathon participant records their marathon trip, including winter air connections and accommodation, as well as traveling via Zagreb.
“What started as an ‘I don’t know if I want to/can do this’ race ended up being a great experience.”The runner finished Split Marathon in 4 hours 17 minutes 1 second through hills, unpaved stretches around historic sites and a coastal park. Another runner's encouragement spurred a late surge; generous refreshments and free photos rounded off a satisfying experience.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.

The Split Marathon is a road race that runs along the sea through the Croatian port city of Split.
Centered around the coastal promenade Riva, full marathon, half marathon, and 10km trails will be opened, and short runs for families will also be provided.
The fact that it connects the city's old architecture, sports facilities, green spaces,
and new coastal trails in one course clearly shows the nature of this competition.
The section overlooking the coast and city of Riva continues within course.
The official introduction of full marathon lists Diocletian's Palace, Riva, Poljud Stadium,
Marjan's green slopes, and the coastal promenade from Znejan to Stovrech as the main scenery.
After passing the stone architecture of the old city center, the stadium appears, and then green space and the coast change the background for the race.
Even within the same city, you alternate between historical spaces and the daily lives of residents.
The road that runs along the sea reveals the fact that Split is a port city.
Split's running event includes a main event in the winter and a night run in the summer.
While the main competition is a road race held in Riva, the night half marathon is a separate event held mainly at Zneyan Beach.
The organizing committee is in charge of preparations throughout the year based on volunteers,
and brings together professional athletes and recreational runners for the same event.
To understand the Split Marathon, it is best to look not only at the coastal scenery,
but also at the history of the city and the background of the running event organized by residents.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
All event bib materials are distributed at the Riva Expo Fun Zone tent.
Saturday 10:00–20:00 is for the marathon, half marathon, and 10 km, while Kids Run/5K and 2K materials can be collected only on Saturday from 10:00–12:00.
Participants must complete a participation consent form, which can also be completed on-site.

Download the official 'Promet Split' app before you travel, top up the in-app eWallet with your foreign debit/credit card, and buy/scan single tickets there — it's roughly half the price of paying onboard, where only cash is accepted.
Riva (Split's waterfront promenade)
No public-transit station named -- Riva is stated only as a landmark.
Schedule: Marathon 42K and Tommy Half Marathon 21K start Feb 14, 2027 at 09:00;
Mazda 10K starts the same day around 09:30-09:35 (site shows minor inconsistency between homepage and schedule table on the exact 10K time).
No finish-line location is explicitly stated anywhere on the site -- only 'Riva' is given, and only in the context of the start.
No official shuttle bus service found.
No road-closure or spectator-access page exists on the site;
course description (Diocletian's Palace, Riva, Poljud stadium, Marjan hill, Žnjan-Stobreč promenade) is marketing copy, not an access guide.
Split's city buses run a 4-zone system;
a Zone 1 single ticket costs roughly €1.50 pre-purchased (kiosk/app) vs ~€2.00 bought from the driver, and if buying onboard, cash is the only accepted payment.
Sources give conflicting signals on whether a bank card can be tapped directly at boarding — plan to use the app or a kiosk instead.
The free tourist 'SplitCard' does not reliably include public transit.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The Split Marathon is held in two seasons, winter and summer.
The main race on February 14, 2027 starts from Riva, with both the full marathon and half marathon starting at 9am and the 10km at 9:30am.
In summer, an evening event called “Split Night half marathon” is held at Žnjan Beach.
On August 8, 2026, the 21km, 10km and 5km races all start together at 10pm (22:00), crossing Split’s coastal urban area.
The family-oriented RUN&FUN events take place the day before the marathon, on February 13.
The 5km starts at 2pm and the 2km at 3:30pm.
Times are local to Split. Check the latest official information before the race.
