The runner ran the 50K, with water crossings and long climbs and descents throughout, and overtook other runners in the final section to finish in 8 hours, 16 minutes, and 48 seconds.

Anna finished her first ultra at the 2017 Table Rock Ultra 50km in 8 hours 59 minutes 53 seconds. Steep climbs and rocks prompted worries about time limit, but she rallied late to beat her 9-hour goal by 7 seconds.

None - no public transit serves Steele Creek Park

Start/finish at Steele Creek Park, just north of Morganton, NC on Hwy 181. 50K starts 7:00am, 30K starts 8:00am. Rural North Carolina foothills/mountain venue near Table Rock/Linville Gorge area; no public transit, car access only via Hwy 181.

No dedicated transit card system; Table Rock Ultras starts near Morganton in rural western North Carolina trailhead country. This is a car-access venue with trailhead parking; foreign visitors should plan on a rental car since there is no relevant public transit link to the start.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

Payment and registration are handled through UltraSignup,

and since the organizers do not provide paper cups at aid station s as part of their eco-friendly policy, participants must bring their own water bottle.

Aid stations for the 50K course are at miles 4.8, 9.7, 13.1, 19.3 (drop bags allowed),

and 24.8, while aid stations for the 30K course are at miles 4.8, 10.2, and 15.6.

In addition to water and Gatorade, aid stations stock potato chips, pretzels, cookies, gummies, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
