THE DREAM
This is Japan’s first mile road race certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations and World Athletics.
It takes place near Ajinomoto Stadium in Chōfu, Tokyo.
As part of the Tokyo Rokutai Fest, a six-hour relay festival, it offers categories ranging from family events to officially timed races.

Tokyo 1 Mile is Japan’s first mile road race officially certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations and World Athletics.
Course uses a 1.6 km course near Ajinomoto Stadium in Chofu, Tokyo, designed to meet the standard mile distance of 1,609 m.
The race is held as part of the Tokyo Rokutai FES, a program centered on a six-hour relay,
and is divided into several categories, including family, elementary and junior-high school, open and certified-record divisions.
The start is at 9:00 a.m. on October 3.

So on race morning, you can just run.
Bib and participant gifts are distributed at the registration desk on race day.
Attach the number card with the timing tag to the front of your chest.
There is a first assembly 30 minutes before the start and a second assembly 5–10 minutes before the start.
Registration opens at 11:30 on race day — closing times vary by category (certified open division 12:30, open division 13:30, etc.)

Venue is Ajinomoto Stadium (Chofu); station is ~5min walk. Event runs Oct 3-4, 2026 as part of TOKYO ROKUTAI FES; Tokyo 1 Mile race itself is Oct 3 at 9:00.

public transport (Keio Line) is effectively mandatory.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
Applications are accepted from March 1 to September 6, 2026, and may close early once the 1,700-person capacity is reached.
