The road to your own record
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.

The city you want to run becomes your next trip.

THE DREAM
It is the largest marathon in Canada.
The 2026 competition will be held October 17-18.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“After all this training and successfully finishing the marathon, it’s the first time I actually feel like a true runner.”They experienced the wind on a hot, humid day and the climbs in the latter stages, focusing on maintaining pace at the end because of abdominal and calf cramps.
“I’m so proud of how I ran this race.”The runner ran at a steady pace early on, but mixed in walking because of the sun and abdominal pain in the second half. With help from friends at 39 km, the runner found the strength for the final stretch and cut the personal best by three minutes.
“I finished in 1:42:06, which was faster than my goal time, so I was happy with it.”In the early stages of the Toronto half marathon, congestion, sharp turns, and a headwind along the lake slowed the pace. After the 12 km turnaround, they regained their rhythm, increased their speed section by section, and finished faster than their target.
“The spectators were great during the last mile.”The runner started with concerns about aggravating an injury, and the runner's pace dropped because of pain around the hip in the second half. The runner kept going by comparing the remaining distance to familiar training sections and finished in 3 hours 38 minutes 25 seconds.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
