THE DREAM
It will take place on July 4, 2027, in Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Wales.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“So job done even though it was my slowest marathon in 469 finishes.”The runner completed Wales Marathon with an arm immobilized after an earlier race injury, walking several sections. They crossed Pembrokeshire's steep coastal hills to finish at Tenby's Tudor Square.
“I finished injured but happy.”Knee and hamstring pain led the runner to walk hills and adjust their pace at Wales Marathon. Back in Tenby, they gave the final stretch their all and were happy to finish despite injury.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.

Tenby–Pembroke–Lamphey–Freshwater East–Manorbier–Tenby (closed-road loop)
The Wales Marathon takes place in the harbour town of Tenby, located within Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
It is known as the only marathon in Wales held with full road closures.
The race is the closing event of the three-day multisport festival Long Course Weekend Wales, and recently welcomed Cryocube as its new title sponsor.
Course starts at Salterns Car Park in Tenby, passes through Pembroke and Lamphey,
continues via Freshwater East and Manorbier, and then returns to Tenby on a loop course.
The red carpet laid out at finish is regarded as one of the event’s signature scenes.
The experience of running on fully closed coastal roads,
combined with the spectacular finish that brings the festival to a close, is said to create a “world-famous” finish.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
