Nearly the entire course is singletrack, with only a very short section on park roads.

Race reports: 2
cindyrieckhoffRan in 2019
“We were feeling rested and ready to go.”

At the Walking Tall 25km, the runner raced with a dog, Miles, over wooden paths across lakes and wetlands. Despite a steep rope-assisted climb, a good rhythm made the runner feel ready for another lap after finishing.

Deanna DoaneFinish time 4:41:42
“I went into this race with the goal to race hard, enjoy the journey, and focus on running my own race.”

In the Walking Tall 50km, the runner waited for a train at an early crossing, then raced against the men. Despite heat and the final hill's fatigue, they won overall in 4 hours 41 minutes 42 seconds, setting the women's course record.

We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
