THE DREAM
This is a winter marathon that has been held since 2001.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I could talk myself into doing "just" another loop.”At the Warm Up Columbus half marathon Marathon, Meredith struggled with training fatigue and lower-back pain. Despite wanting to stop several times, Meredith kept committing to one more lap and finished, though disappointed not to run as fast as hoped.
“I pushed through and had a solid finish.”At the Warm Up Columbus half marathon Marathon, the runner took care on slippery surfaces and completed 13 laps of the 1-mile course. Picking up speed late produced the fastest half marathon time in 3 years and confirmed that marathon training was going well.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
