Getting to the start

Cohasset MBTA Commuter Rail station (Greenbush Line) — connects directly to Wompatuck State Park via the 1.5-mile Whitney Spur Rail Trail

The actual venue is Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA (the park and course are in Hingham, not Norwell).

Walk/bike the Whitney Spur Rail Trail (~1.5 mi) from Cohasset station to the park.

Getting to the finish

Same as start — loop course finishes where it starts inside the park

West Hingham or Nantasket Junction stations (also Greenbush Line) are alternative but less direct options, requiring a short drive.

Stations & transport near the venue

Norwell, MA has no transit card of its own, but nearby Greenbush station (in neighboring Scituate) offers MBTA Commuter Rail service into Boston.

Fares ($2.40-$13.25 depending on zone) are paid via paper CharlieTicket or the mTicket mobile app rather than a reloadable CharlieCard,

since standard CharlieCards are not accepted on Commuter Rail.

Held in Wompatuck State Park, the 10-mile category runs a single loop once, while the 50K runs the same loop three times plus an extra mile at the start.

The surface mixes pavement, rail trail, winding dirt roads, and rough sections, offering more variety than a typical road race.

The finishing time limit is generously set at 9 hours, and 50K participants can use drop bags between loops.

The race tends to sell out early each year, so it pays to register early.
