From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.

“I felt happy that I had completed another Half Marathon, even though it was not a personal best timing.”The writer ran the 2019 2XU Compression Run 21.1 km as a long-distance training run for the London Marathon and passed finish in good shape.
“I completed the race with a timing of 1:38:31 and my GPS recorded 20.81km.”The author entered the 2017 2XU half marathon, started fast, then managed the pace, finishing in 1:38:31 after moving ahead of the 1-hour-40-minute pacer in the final 2 km.

The 2XU Compression Run is an urban running event that 2XU has held annually in Singapore.
In 2027, the event offers three distances: 21.1km, 10km and 5km.
The previous event in 2026 started on the track beside the Singapore F1 Pit Building, near the Singapore Flyer, Marina Square, Suntec City and Millenia Walk.
Participants in the 21.1km race choose a start pen from A to E according to their expected finish time.
Pen A is the fastest group in half marathon, and proof of a half marathon time of 2 hours or less achieved since January 1, 2024 was required.
Pens A and B each had a capacity of 2,500 participants, and the award results were decided by gun time.
The 5km and 10km races also include competitive categories, giving the event a clear focus on 2XU compression sportswear and improving performance.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
2-4 Apr 2026; 11:00-20:00 Thu/Fri, until 17:00 Sat
Tap your contactless Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or phone wallet (Apple/Google/Samsung Pay) straight at the MRT gantry or bus reader via SimplyGo — no card purchase needed, though a small daily fee applies to foreign-issued cards.
Promenade MRT Station (Circle Line, CC5), Exit A — ~5-min walk (follow signage past Singapore Flyer) to the F1 Pit Building/start area
A paid shuttle bus also runs from selected MRT stations directly to the F1 Pit Building (tickets sold separately, released closer to race date).
same as start — F1 Pit Building/F1 Track (Marina Bay Civic District)
Parking also available at Marina Square, Suntec City, or near the Singapore Flyer.
Paid shuttle buses connect selected MRT stations to the F1 Pit Building on event morning.
On race morning (until 10:00 AM), 9 SBS Transit bus services (10, 14, 16, 56, 70M, 111, 133, 195, 196) are diverted away from Nicoll Highway/Marina Bay/Civic District,
so normal buses won't reach the venue —
MRT is the reliable option.
EZ-Link card
MRT station ticketing machines (GTMs), or 7-Eleven and Cheers convenience stores
Works directly at the gates
Alternative: Singapore Tourist Pass SGD 17 (1-day) to SGD 45 (3-day), includes a refundable card deposit —
Only pays off if you're taking 8+ MRT/bus trips in a day;
for a typical race trip, tapping a contactless bank card or buying an EZ-Link card is cheaper.
Foreign-issued contactless bank cards incur a S$0.60 daily admin fee under SimplyGo.
Per-trip fares range roughly S$1.28-S$2.57 depending on distance.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
Singapore has high humidity.
On race day, choose clothing that prioritizes ventilation and moisture wicking, and wear new equipment in advance to make sure it fits properly.
Prepare your nutrition according to the race distance and the method you have practiced during training.
The previous event was held at the F1 Pit Building.
From Exit A of Promenade MRT station CC5, you could walk to the Singapore Flyer and follow the event signs.
Nearby parking areas were 260m from the Singapore Flyer, 650m from Millenia Walk, 950m from Marina Square and 1.1km from Suntec City.
The 2026 Packet Pickup was held at Hall 405 of the Suntec Convention Centre from April 2 to 4, and you had to bring photo identification and your race confirmation.
Overseas participants could also arrange collection by a representative.
Times are local to Singapore. Check the latest official information before the race.
