The road to your own record
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.

The city you want to run becomes your next trip.
THE DREAM
The marathon and half marathon take place on the trails of Ohio’s Burr Oak State Park.
Course is 90% dirt.
The marathon is a single-loop course with rolling hills, multiple creek crossings and sections of the Buckeye Trail.
Half marathon is a point-to-point course on the same trail system.
The organisers explicitly welcome hikers as well as runners.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“When I finished, all the agony and suffering was instantly forgotten.”This runner spent energy passing a slow pack on narrow early trails at the Bobcat Trail Marathon. A late resurgence brought a finish in 4 hours 20 minutes and victory in the over-50 category.
“We carried our own water and were thankful to have it.”Amanda says hidden rocks and roots beneath fallen leaves and constant hills made Bobcat Trail Marathon difficult. She carried her own water, enjoyed volunteers' encouragement, and, at the finish, chose a finisher medal with a friend.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
