Know the course and time limit, and race day comes into focus.
The start and finish are at 425 North Martingale Road.
Course starts on the roads of Schaumburg's commercial district, and all three events use only roads and paved trails.
Full marathon and half marathon are USATF-certified.
Their certification numbers are full marathon IL24010NM and half marathon IL21015NM.
Both are Boston Marathon qualifying races.
Full marathon has two course checkpoints.
Participants who do not pass the 5-mile point by time limit pace are automatically switched to half marathon and directed to half marathon.
If they do not pass the 24-mile point by the designated time, their race will be stopped because Martingale Road reopens to traffic at that time.
The course records are full marathon 2:26:20 for men (2026) and 2:47:10 for women (2025).
Half marathon records are 1:12:02 for men (2024) and 1:22:38 for women (2026);
the 10K records are 33:30 for men (2024) and 38:02 for women (2023).
The 2026 event was the 16th edition.

Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
You can choose to pick up by mail ($14.99), pick up in advance, which will be announced two weeks before the competition, or pick up onsite on the day of the competition.
Schaumburg Metra Station (Milwaukee District West Line), plus Pace bus route 606 to the "Martingale/Higgins" stop about 390 yards (~5 min walk) from the venue
Start/finish is at 425 N Martingale Rd, Schaumburg, IL, near I-90/I-355, about 35 min from downtown Chicago. The Schaumburg Metra station itself is roughly 2 miles away; the Pace 606 bus stop at Martingale/Higgins is the closer transit option.
Same as start — 425 N Martingale Rd, Schaumburg (Pace 606 bus stop at Martingale/Higgins, ~5 min walk)
Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K all start and finish at the same Schaumburg business-district location.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The 2027 race takes place on May 2.
The full marathon starts at 7:15 a.m. The course time limits are 6 hours for the full marathon and 3 hours 30 minutes for the half marathon.
There are three bib-pickup options: paid mailing, advance pickup announced separately approximately two weeks before the race, and race-day pickup.
Organizers do not recommend race-day pickup and expect a wait of around 15 minutes.
To collect another runner’s bib, you need a participant waiver signed by that runner.
Unclaimed participant items after the race incur an additional mailing fee.
Parking is available at the parking garages at 150 and 200 North Martingale Road.
Parking elsewhere is not guaranteed.
Because 2,000 people enter these garages within one hour,
organizers warn that arriving later than 45 minutes before the start may result in missing the race start.
Pacers are provided for the half marathon at 5-minute intervals from 1:30 to 2:45.
All participants in the three events receive finisher medals, and awards are presented to overall finishers and the top three in each age group.
The full-marathon entry fee is $99.99.
Times are local to Schaumburg. Check the latest official information before the race.
