At the Chizhou Marathon, the runner enjoyed the flat lakeside course and scenery. Finishing the half marathon in 1 hour and 54 minutes improved the personal best by 7 minutes.

Pingtianhu Wetland Park Yuzhitai Square

Chizhou Marathon is set on a course course with the start and finish at Lianhuatai Square by Pingtian Lake in downtown Chizhou, Anhui Province.

The route cuts through the city center beside the broad lake, and locals describe course as 'poetic and picturesque'.

The Fun Run(Fun Run) category previously started from the same square and reached its finish at the intersection where Qiupu East Road meets Jiuhuashan Avenue.

It is not confirmed, however, whether course actually continues all the way to Mount Jiuhua (九华山),

one of China's four major Buddhist mountains, after which the race is named.

Getting to the start

The start is at Pingtian Lake Lotus Platform Square in Chizhou, and the finish is at the intersection of Qiupu East Road and Jiuhuashan Avenue.

Chizhou has no metro system;

city bus routes 38, 40, and the Shizhu-Huang circular route continued operating near the course in the previous edition,

while approximately 18 other routes were suspended or diverted during the race.

expected to recur annually.

general city buses only.

Road closures

Chizhou Zhuhuashan Airport is connected to major domestic cities,

high-speed rail Chizhou Station is connected to the Yangtze River Delta, and scenic areas are accessible by city bus.

The organizer provided free shuttle buses from Chizhou High-Speed Railway Station and Chizhou Airport directly to Chizhou Stadium.

Outbound service ran from 6:00–7:00 AM, with return shuttles from 9:20 AM–3:30 PM, according to the 2024 edition.

Registration for the 2026 race runs from 10:00 a.m. on August 25 through 3:00 p.m. on September 10, with the full marathon marathon field listed at 3,000 runners.

The previous edition had a total field of 15,000 runners, comprising 3,000 for the marathon, 6,000 for half marathon, and 6,000 for Fun Run.
