The start and finish are at the Refectory inside Bastrop State Park.

Course is a 20km loop course linking the park's trails, with dirt-and-rock singletrack.

Each lap includes approximately 800 feet of climbing.

The six events are 100K, 60K, 40K, 20K, 20K ruck and 7K.

It is part of the Texas Legends Series, a group of five central Texas races.

Course is a 20km loop course linking all the trails in Bastrop State Park.

The surface is singletrack made up of dirt and rock, with about 800 feet of climbing per lap.

The start and finish are at the Refectory, 100 Park Road 1A, Bastrop, inside the park.

Longer races complete multiple laps.

In the 100K, pacer may be used for the final two laps only, with a limit of one per participant.

The entire course is marked and supported, with food and drink provided at aid station.

Getting to the start

The Refectory, Bastrop State Park, 100 Park Road 1A, Bastrop, TX 78602

No public transit;

car access only.

100K runners park directly at the Refectory.

7K/20K/40K/60K runners park at Mayfest Park (across the street from the State Park) and are shuttled to the start.

Getting to the finish

Same Refectory at Bastrop State Park (loop course covering all park trails, ~800 ft gain per 20K loop)

Finish co-located with start at the Refectory.

Road closures

For short distance events, park at Mayfest Park across the street and take the shuttle, and for 100K, park directly at the Refectory.

No transit card is needed at the venue;

Cowboy YETI is held at Bastrop State Park, about 30 miles from Austin, reached by car.

Austin's CapMetro system now supports tap-to-pay with any contactless bank card or phone (capped at $2.50/day, no separate card needed) for its urban routes,

but this does not extend to Bastrop.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

The event takes place on Saturday, January 23, 2027.

Start times are 8:00 a.m. for the 100K, 8:30 a.m. for the 40K, 20K, and 20K Ruck, and 9:00 a.m. for the 7K.

The 20K Ruck requires participants to carry at least 25 pounds.

Time limit is 10 hours for the 60K, with a 5:05 p.m. cutoff, and 20 hours for the 100K, with a 4:00 a.m. cutoff the following day.

Bib can be picked up in advance at the Refectory from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, or between 6:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Bib and a race T-shirt are provided together.

Long-sleeve shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after December 20.

Parking locations vary by distance.

Participants in the 7K, 20K, 40K, and 60K park at Mayfest Park across from the park and take a shuttle to start line.

The shuttle operates from 7:00 a.m. until 5:05 p.m. The 100K parks at the Refectory.

This is a cup-free event.

Cups are not provided at aid station, so runners need personal hydration equipment such as bottles or a hydration vest.

Entry fee is $160 for the 100K ($173.90 including taxes and fees), $125 for the 60K,

$105 for the 40K, $80 for the 20K, $93 for the 20K Ruck, and $55 for the 7K.

After October 22, the 100K price increases to $180.

The pricing periods are early bird from March 25 through October 22, standard from October 23 through January 8, 2027, and late registration from January 9 until sold out.

Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, January 22 (Central Time).

Full refunds are not available.

Cancellations made at least 14 days before the event are converted into credit for another event, which must be used within one year.

Discounts are available for active-duty military personnel and first responders.
