Getting to the start

No passenger rail/subway in Galveston; nearest transit is Island Transit 'Seawall Trolley Bus', Stewart Beach stop (route runs Stewart Beach to Moody Gardens/81st St along Seawall Blvd)

Start/finish both at Stewart Beach, 515 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, TX 77550. Enter via McDonald's, keep right for beach parking (free beach parking available). Galveston has no train/subway; nearest major rail is in Houston, ~50 miles away.

Course is a flat course along Galveston's landmark Seawall and East Beach,

offering views of the Gulf of Mexico, and is known as a Boston Marathon qualifying (BQ) course.

A 5K event open to everyone is also held alongside full marathon and half marathon.

Entry fee includes a technical short-sleeve shirt and a finisher finisher medal, followed by an after-party with food after the race.
