It starts at 9:00 AM on August 9 at Gesar Culture Square in Ganzi County, Sichuan Province (average elevation 3,390m).

The events are a 3.6km fun walk and a 10km competitive race.

Zhuoda Snow Mountain rises to the south and Kawaluo Mountain to the north, with the Yalong River running through the town.

No railway or subway. Fly from Chengdu for approximately 1 hour to Ganzigesar Airport, about 50 km from the venue, then take a taxi or pickup vehicle; alternatively, take a long-distance bus from Chengdu for approximately 8–9 hours.

Transit card

This is a genuinely remote high-plateau event at an average elevation of 3,390 m, with no rail or subway access. The practical route is to fly Sichuan Airlines from Chengdu to Ganzi Gesar Airport (about 1 hour), then take a roughly 50 km taxi or arranged transfer to the county town; alternatively, take an 8–9-hour long-distance bus from Chengdu.

A car or taxi is essential for the final leg, and there is no city transit card system here.

This is a remote highland race with no railway or metro access.

The most practical route is a roughly one-hour Sichuan Airlines flight from Chengdu to Ganzi Gesar Airport,

followed by about 50 km by taxi or pre-booked vehicle.

Long-distance buses from Chengdu take 8–9 hours.

There is no local transit-card system, so a vehicle is essential for the final leg.

At an altitude in the 3,000 m range, it is safest to allow time to acclimatize after arrival.
