THE DREAM
A 100-mile event held on the Jericho Horse Trail in Francis Marion National Forest.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I was emotional and happy to be done, exhausted.”In Hell Hole Hundred's El Diablo 140.6-mile race, the runner kept moving through heat, humidity, and overnight fatigue with help from pacer s. Their children's cheers greeted a finish in 38 hours 47 minutes.
“I did the 50K last year. It was brutal.”At Hell Hole Hundred 50km, the runner faced heat, humidity, rain, mud, and insects. Despite a flat course, it felt like the toughest flat race they'd ever run.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
Preview the course and read what runners who went before you wrote.
