Know the course and time limit, and race day comes into focus.
From the 2026 editionA night race held around Pasta Island in Jelgava, with six events starting in sequence: a children’s race, 1.609km, 5km, 10km, half marathon and a relay.
Half marathon and the relay start at 9:15 p.m., while half marathon also serves as the Latvian half marathon Championships.
Entry fee varies by event, starting from 10 euros.

So on race morning, you can just run.
No dedicated rail service to venue; nearest hub is Jelgava's town center/bus station, roughly 1-1.5 km walk from the venue
Official 2026 race center (start/finish/registration) is at 'Pasta sala', a river-island park in central Jelgava — not the Zemgales Olimpiskā centra Stadions.
Note: the official site states the 2026 edition was POSTPONED from Aug 22 to September 5, 2026 due to an official orange weather warning.
Sept 5, 2026 is the current confirmed date for this edition.

Route runs along Zemgales prospekts, Katoļu, Lielā, Atmodas streets, through Uzvaras park and around Jelgava Palace.
official site references spectator parking and traffic-restriction info but no organized transit shuttle.
Jelgava is a regional city near Riga with no unified contactless tap-card system;
local and intercity buses are paid in cash on board or via paper ticket.
Riga's e-talons/Rigas Satiksme card only covers the capital, not Jelgava,
so foreign visitors should plan on cash fares or a rental car for the short trip from Riga.

Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
Jelgava is a city near Riga and does not have an integrated transport card system.
City and regional buses accept cash or paper tickets;
Riga’s e-talon card cannot be used in Jelgava.
Pasta Island, the race venue, is within a 1–1.5km walk of the city center and bus station.
It is about one hour from Riga by train or bus, making a same-day return trip possible.
