Stations & transport near the venue

Getting to the start

no rail/metro (small city) — Vecpuišu Park, central Valmiera

The former official site (valmieras-maratons.lv) now redirects to bigbankskrienlatvija.lv —

folded into the national 'Bigbank Skrien Latvija' series, local stage also called 'Valmieras skrējiens'.

Per most recent identifiable edition (2026, Sept 6): route runs through central streets, briefly closing Valmiera's main street.

Note: it is unconfirmed whether this continues the historic 'Valmieras maratons' (marathon/half-marathon, est.

1983) or is a rebranded 5km/10km community run — a full 42.195km distance is not certain.

Getting to the finish

same as start — Vecpuišu Park, central Valmiera

More details

No shuttle service found.

Valmiera's bus and train stations are both within the town center but no source explicitly ties them to race logistics.

NOTE: distinguish from the separate 'Rīga–Valmiera' ~107km ultra event (point-to-point road run, no traffic closures) — not this race.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

Start and finish are at Vecpuišu Park in central Valmiera.

As the city is small, there are no rail or metro routes to the race venue.

No shuttle service has been confirmed, and while bus and train stations are both in the city center, there is no indication they connect to race logistics.

The previous official domain valmieras-maratons.lv now redirects to the national series 'Bigbank Skrien Latvija', so registration should be checked there.

The similarly named 'Rīga–Valmiera' ~107km ultra is a separate event.

Times are local to Valmiera. Check the latest official information before the race.
