This race follows the coastline of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.

Full marathon starts at Los Charcos in Costa Teguise at 8:00 am, heads towards Puerto del Carmen,

then follows the coastal avenue through several towns in the eastern part of the island before returning to the finish area in Costa Teguise.

The marathon starts from Costa Teguise, the half marathon starts from Puerto del Carmen, and the 10K starts from Arrecife.

The 2026 full marathon starts on Saturday, December 5, at 8:00 am, and the official time limit is 6 hours.

The organizer’s rules require runners to pass the 21km Puerto del Carmen turnaround point by 11:00 am and the second time limit,

after the start point on Fred Olsen Avenue in Arrecife, by 12:30 pm.

Participants must collect their bib and timing chip in person at the expo in the Los Charcos car park.

The listed opening hours are Wednesday, December 2, 10:00–18:30, and Thursday and Friday, 09:00–20:00.

RockTheSport lists the full marathon at €85 (tax included, with a separate platform service fee),

but the organizer’s rules say prices change by entry tier, so check the final amount on the registration page.

The RockTheSport registration page linked by the organizer lists the full marathon at €85 through November 25, then €90 (tax included, platform fee extra).

Registration is listed as open until 20:00 on December 4, subject to availability, but the official FAQ gives November 30 as the closing date.

Getting to the start

Marathon runners must arrange their own transport to Costa Teguise start. Paid, prebooked shuttles from Sands Beach Resort serve the half marathon start in Puerto del Carmen and 10km start in Arrecife.

The official bus page lists last departures 08:30 and 10:00 respectively; cross-check with the event agenda.

Start and finish

  • Full marathon starts at 8:00 am on 5 December at Los Charcos, Costa Teguise.
  • The finish line and runner area are also in the Costa Teguise Expo area. The start locations for the other distances are different.

Bib · Bag storage

  • Pick up bib and your runner bag in person at the Los Charcos Expo, and show your QR code or ID.
  • The official bag-drop area is open from 06:30–15:00 and accepts only the official bag provided at the event.
  • Half marathon · For the 10km, the organizers transport bags dropped off at the start to the runner area.

Time limit and time limit

  • The full marathon time limit has a 6-hour cut-off, and the finish line closes at 14:00.
  • For the 21km, you must pass the turnaround point in Puerto del Carmen by 11:00 and the second time limit in Arrecife by 12:30.
  • Walking is allowed, but if you exceed time limit, you must leave course.

Aid stations and safety

  • Aid stations are spaced about 2.5km apart. Water, sports drink, fruit, and solid food are available.
  • The organizers’ FAQ says that the medical team at the finish line stays in radio contact with the aid stations and key support points.
  • The course is marked at every kilometer, and some sections are open to the public, so watch out for pedestrians.

Getting to the start

  • Participants must make their own way to the full marathon start.
  • Official shuttles run to the half marathon start in Puerto del Carmen and the 10km start in Arrecife. Seats must be booked in advance.
  • The official shuttle information lists 08:30 as the latest departure time for half marathon and 10:00 for the 10km, but check the event schedule for the relevant times.
