This is the first 50-mile race held on the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail (LHHT).
A 5-person Relay is also available.
The race starts at mile 46 on Route 30 and finishes at mile 0 in Ohiopyle.
A few extra miles are added along the way to bring the total closer to 50 miles.

So on race morning, you can just run.
For the 50-mile race held on the Laurel Highlands Trail and organized by Redpoint Productions, packet collection details will be announced closer to race day.
No public transit. The start is at the Rt 30 trailhead (Mile 46 marker) of the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail near Laurel Summit State Park, in a remote forested area off Route 30 in Somerset County, PA.
Point-to-point 50-mile race running south on the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail from the Rt 30 trailhead to Ohiopyle. The start and finish are approximately 46 trail miles apart, so the paid pre-race shuttle from finish parking to the start is the key logistical point.
No public transit. The finish is in the small town of Ohiopyle, PA, near Falls City Pub; finish-area parking is at the Ferncliff Trailhead.
Ohiopyle is a small tourist village with no scheduled bus or rail service.
Shuttle from Ferncliff Trailhead (finals parking lot) $15, last bus 3:45 a.m.
An organizer-run pre-race shuttle is available for runners who park at the finish lot at Ferncliff Trailhead in Ohiopyle and need transportation to the start — a fee applies.
Somerset, PA and the Laurel Highlands trail area have no dedicated transit card system; this is a car-access rural venue. Cash or card is fine for any parking or local purchases, but foreign visitors will need to drive or arrange a shuttle.

Of the 50-mile course, 46 miles run along the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail (LHHT) singletrack.
With approximately 7,500 feet of elevation gain and 8,500 feet of elevation loss, fatigue can build during the descents in the latter stages.
A separate 5-person Relay is available, allowing teams to divide the course into 4- to 14-mile legs.
Spectators and crews can access the aid station at miles 14, 27, 31, and 39.
