ABOUT THE RACE

A day you'll remember,
long past the finish line.

The race starts at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, from Gangcheng Avenue in Longkou, Yantai, Shandong Province.

The events are full marathon (42.195 km) and half marathon (21.0975 km), and the race forms part of the Shandong Marathon League.

Each finisher’s commemorative gift includes one sea cucumber and one abalone.

If applications exceed capacity, places are allocated by lottery, and Entry fee is fully refunded to unsuccessful applicants.

Gangcheng Avenue (north side of the Civic Activity Center), Longkou, Yantai

The full course starts on Gangcheng Avenue and follows Weilong Avenue, Nanshan Avenue and University Road before continuing onto Coastal Road.

The marathon runs to the Haitian 1st Road junction and back,

then makes a second turnaround at the Guanhai 1st Road junction before returning via Nanshan Avenue and Weilong Avenue to the start on Gangcheng Avenue,

north of the Civic Activity Center.

Half marathon follows the same route but turns back directly at University Road,

then continues via Nanshan Avenue, Weilong Avenue and Gangcheng Avenue to finish.

Getting to the start

Start/finish per the prior (2025) edition was on Gangcheng Avenue, north side of the Citizen Activity Center, Longkou city.

Longkou has its own high-speed rail station on the Weifang-Yantai HSR line, connecting to Jinan, Qingdao, Beijing.

Venue is also about a 1-hour drive from Yantai Penglai International Airport.

If applications exceed capacity, places are allocated by lottery.

Results are announced within 15 business days after registration closes, and Entry fee is fully refunded to unsuccessful applicants.

Entry fee costs RMB 180 for full marathon and RMB 150 for half marathon.

Longkou has its own station on the Weifang–Yantai high-speed railway line, with connections from Jinan, Qingdao and Beijing.

Yantai Penglai International Airport is approximately one hour away by car.
