Getting to the start

Gare d'Avignon Centre (Bd Saint-Roch)

Start directly in front of Avignon Centre train station, 8:30 a.m.; bib pickup is approximately 400 m from the station.

Getting to the finish

Île de la Barthelasse (Chemin des Berges)

Finish on Île de la Barthelasse across the Rhône, reached via a bridge (e.g. Pont Édouard Daladier); exact return route not detailed.

Road closures

Closed traffic from 7-11 p.m.; Shuttle service for visitors

The course is an approximately 42.195 km loop course through the city center, passing the Palais des Papes, the city walls,

the town hall, the opera house, and the Pont d'Avignon before continuing to Barthelasse Island, Europe's largest river island.

With approximately 80 m of elevation gain, it is a relatively flat course.
