The race starts at the Griya Persada Hotel in Kaliurang, a highland resort at around 800 m on the southern slopes of Mount Merapi.

Events include half marathon (5:00 a.m.), 10K (5:30 a.m.), 5K (5:45 a.m.) and a 3K Fun Run, making it easy for families to take part.

Entry fee starts at 200,000 rupiah, and race packs are distributed at the same venue over the two days before the race.

It is a community-focused event co-hosted by Suraloka Zoo.

Getting to the start

No station at venue

Start/finish is at Griya Persada Convention Hotel & Resort, Kaliurang, Pakem, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta — a hillside resort venue on Mount Merapi's slopes.

Rural mountain-resort location;

nearest bus terminal is Pakem (~7.5 km away) and the nearest train station is Yogyakarta Tugu (~24.8 km away).

Getting to the finish

Finish is at the same hotel resort venue as the start (Griya Persada Convention Hotel & Resort, Kaliurang).

Local public bus route Kaliurang–Condongcatur has a stop near the hotel (first departure ~06:00, last ~15:48), but frequency is low.

Stations & transport near the venue

Sleman sits north of Yogyakarta near Mount Merapi and has no IC transit card system;

the Trans Jogja BRT bus network (cash about IDR 3,500 or IDR 2,700 with a rechargeable Trans Jogja card/e-wallet) reaches only as far as Kaliurang-area stops like Kentungan,

well short of the race area.

Most visitors rely on a rented car, motorbike, or ojek/Grab for the final approach to the venue.

Kaliurang is a mountain resort about an hour by car from central Yogyakarta.

Public transport connections are limited, so you should plan to travel by car.

The highland air is cool at the early start but heats up quickly after sunrise, so a light outer layer is useful.
