RACE WEEK
Know the course and time limit, and race day comes into focus.
From the 2026 editionWe have not confirmed the start line coordinates yet. The map shows the host city.
According to Miyun District government information, the 2026 course started at the Miyun District Youth Palace and passed along the Baihe River,
through an urban forest park, and along roads south of the reservoir.
The half marathon and full marathon split near 15km, while the full marathon featured a steep climb between 15 and 16.5km,
followed by the course high point and turnaround point around 28km.
The sections offering views of both the reservoir and the Yan Mountains are a distinctive highlight of the race.
The 2026 race was held on April 26, with World Athletics recording winning times of 2 hours 10 minutes 36 seconds for men and 2 hours 30 minutes 56 seconds for women.
As this is a Miyun District event rather than a central Beijing marathon, plan the location of the start and travel time separately.
The government said that course was revised in 2026, so do not assume the same route will be used in 2027.

Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
Just tap your own foreign Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay, or American Express contactless card directly at any subway gate — no card purchase needed. If you prefer a prepaid option, get the tourist-oriented 'Beijing Pass' or a Yikatong card.
Yikatong (一卡通)
Subway station customer service counters, airports, Yikatong offices at Dongzhimen or Xidan (passport required);
the tourist-focused 'Beijing Pass' is also sold at designated visitor points
Works directly at the gates
Alternative: Beijing Pass —
Worth it if you don't want to use your own bank card and prefer one prepaid card that also covers buses,
some taxis, and entry to sights like Badaling Great Wall.
Beijing was the first mainland Chinese city to enable this: since 13 September 2024 (expanded further by June 2025),
foreign-issued Mastercard and Visa (later joined by JCB, UnionPay, Amex) can tap directly at all gates across all subway lines plus airport lines —
officially confirmed by the Beijing municipal government.
This tap usually costs slightly more per ride than Alipay/WeChat QR fares.
Alipay and WeChat Pay transit QR codes (bound to a foreign card/passport) also work as an alternative.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
You can find Miwin’s Packet Pickup chapter by searching for ‘密马嘉年华’ on the official map.
When you arrive, check your ID, print a receipt, and receive your participation uniform at the relevant window.
Next, you receive your bib items, wear a participation bracelet, receive souvenirs, and complete the timing chip inspection before exiting the receiving area.
For bib, you must bring your own valid ID or original passport, and proxy pickup is not allowed.
A signed Health Participation Agreement and Confirmation of Participation Instructions must also be submitted prior to collection.
Please schedule a visit in advance as we will not be able to pick it up that morning.
There is a timing chip behind bib to instruct you not to fold or press it, and not to cover it with a thermal blanket in case of rain.
Full marathon and half marathon participants leave their luggage in the storage area according to number bib in the departure area.
After completing the course, show bib and look for it in the corresponding number area.
It is better not to arbitrarily leave it to staff outside the storage area.
Portable toilets are installed at the start, 8, and final.
This route is based on the previous official guidance, so please check the new guidance for the locations of the collection and storage areas in the next round.
Times are local to Beijing. Check the latest official information before the race.
