Getting to the start

No direct train station in downtown Ojai; reached via organizer shuttle bus only

Marathon starts in downtown Ojai (mountain town with no rail/bus transit). Organizer runs shuttle buses to the start from two collection points: Downtown Ventura and the Ventura County Government Center, departing 4:00am and 5:00am (Marathon) / 4:00am, 4:40am, 5:15am (Half).

Getting to the finish

Ventura Amtrak/Metrolink Station area, near the fairgrounds, close to the finish at Ventura State Beach/Pier

Finish is near the historic Ventura Pier. Return shuttle pickup after the race is on the eastbound side of San Pedro St., dropping near the Fairgrounds parking lot adjacent to the Amtrak/Metrolink station.

Yes — organizer shuttle is effectively mandatory given no start-area parking: pre-race shuttles from Downtown Ventura and Ventura County Government Center to Ojai, and post-race return shuttles.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

Access to the start in Ojai is limited for private vehicles, so most participants travel by early-morning bus.

Shuttles depart from two locations: downtown Ventura, approximately 1.5 miles from the finish area,

and the Ventura County Government Center, approximately 7 miles away.

You must select your pickup location and time during registration.

The first bus reportedly departs around 4:30 a.m.

The expo and bib pickup take place the day before the race at San Buenaventura State Beach, 901 San Pedro St, Ventura,

from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring the waiver-confirmation email submitted during registration to collect your bib.

Any bibs not collected by 5:00 p.m. may be redistributed at the venue on a first-come, first-served basis.

Entry fees were reported at around $140 the previous year and may change annually.

Times are local to Ventura. Check the latest official information before the race.
