Ocean CityTHE DREAM
It takes place in Ocean City, Maryland.
It is one of the long-distance race series put on by organizer Corrigan Sports.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I knew that was going to get old real quick.”The runner faced strong headwinds on the way back from Assateague and congestion caused by the half-marathon participants joining the course. Vomiting in the second half put the runner short of the target time, but the runner finished in 3 hours 32 minutes 34 seconds.
“My official time was 1:32:03, which was a PR by 1 minute and 16 seconds.”In half marathon at the 2023 Ocean City Running Festival, heat and a shadeless course slowed this runner late in the race, but her finish in 1 hour, 32 minutes, and 3 seconds cut 1 minute and 16 seconds off personal best. She missed the 90-minute barrier but broke the tape as the women's winner, making it one of her most memorable moments that year.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.

The Ocean City Running Festival connects Ocean City on Maryland’s Atlantic coast with the area around Assateague State Park.
Full marathon, half marathon, 8 km and 5 km events are held, and every distance includes a section on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
Running along the seaside promenade is the shared scene across the short and long events.
Organised by Corrigan Sports, the festival lets you choose between a run within the coastal city and a race heading beyond the city,
depending on the distance you enter.
Full marathon starts and finishes at the Inlet at the southern end of Ocean City.
After crossing Isle of Wight Bay to West Ocean City, the route continues to Assateague State Park before returning,
and this out-and-back section makes up most of course.
The route continues for a long stretch from the edge of the city, across the bay and towards the park.
On the final return, you run along the Ocean City Boardwalk and the beachfront promenade before reaching the finish at the Inlet where you started.
The organisers state that full marathon is a course certified by USA Track & Field.
You complete the official marathon distance on a route that returns to the coastal city via the Boardwalk.
Fundraising entries for charitable organisations are also available.
Participants supporting local and charitable causes line up alongside one another in the weekend’s distance events,
sharing a run that connects the Atlantic coastal city with the area around the park.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
Packet pickup information has not yet been announced.
For a small race, race-morning pickup is typical; check the registration page for details.

Ocean City in November — chilly with an average of 11°C.
Your fingertips and ears will get cold first, so bring gloves and a beanie, and wear several thin layers on your body so you can take them off while running.
Public transportation does not reach the venue.
The only realistic means of access are private cars and rental cars.

Full marathon really starts after 30km.
It is better to pass the first half 5 to 10 seconds slower than your goal pace to maintain the second half,
and put the gel in from the early section before you get hungry.
Departure is as early as 07:00.
If you factor in waking up, breakfast, and transportation, it is easier to find accommodation start line closer to the night before.
Applications are accepted until November 13, 2026.
Times are local to Ocean City. Check the latest official information before the race.
