Race reports: 2
StephenRan in 2024 · Finish time 3:30:58
“I finished with a chip time of 3:30:58, a PB of some 15 mins but not the bronze age group time that I wanted.”

At Palma Marathon, the runner overcame heat, old-town hills and slippery cobbles to cut about 15 minutes from their personal best. Their pace faded over the final 5km, but they praised the friendly atmosphere and organisation.

Hana ClitherowRan in 2014 · Finish time 1:54:34
“I’m heat exhausted, but I try a final sprint to the line.”

The runner finished Palma Marathon’s half marathon in 1 hour 54 minutes 34 seconds despite strong sun and heat. They enjoyed the old town’s shade and scenery, praising plentiful refreshments and crowd support.

We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.

EMT Palma finished rolling out contactless bank-card payment across its whole bus fleet in early 2026, and reporting describes roughly a 40% discount for tapping a card versus paying cash (e.g. airport routes €3.00 by card vs €5.00 cash;

standard urban ~€1.20 by card vs €2.00 cash) — treat these as indicative, not guaranteed, since fare structure has been under active reform through 2026.

SFM regional trains/metro are a separate operator with their own ticket machines (roughly €1.60-€4.10 by zone);

the free-travel 'Tarjeta Intermodal' scheme is for registered residents only.
