START

Taiyang Square, Mojiang County

Course starts at Mojian Taiyang Square, passes through Huigui Avenue, Longquan Road and Lianzhu Avenue,

loops through various parts of the city, then crosses the Tropic of Cancer (23°26′N) at mark 2–3 km into the course.

It then continues via Hani Avenue and Shuangbao Avenue to Yueliang Square, turns around at four points—including the Moshi Road intersection,

Manzhang Village on Tongxin Road and near Fenghuang Yihao—and returns along the same route to finish at Taiyang Square.

Mojian is known as the “City of the Tropic of Cancer,” and the opening section of course showcases this distinctive geographic feature,

with the Tropic of Cancer running through the urban area.

太阳广场 (Sun Square), Mojiang Hani Autonomous County, Pu'er, Yunnan

Official race page confirms date October 25, 2026, race start 7:30 AM, at Sun Square in Mojiang county town.

Course runs from Sun Square to Tongxin Road/Manzhang village and back (out-and-back).

Mojiang is a small county;

nearest high-speed rail station is ~8km from the county town, requiring taxi/local bus.

No metro exists in this remote Yunnan county.

Your body temperature drops quickly while waiting at the start, so wear a disposable outer layer and take it off just before the start.

Course includes a total of four turnaround point, making pace management and checking the turnaround points especially important for this course.

Half marathon comes down to how well you hold back over the first 5 km.

If you get swept up in the crowd and raise your pace immediately after the start, you’ll pay for it at the 15 km mark.

The 07:30 start is early.
