Getting to the start

No usable public transit. Nearest general-area transit hub is Hill Country Transit District serving Killeen-Temple, plus Greyhound/Arrow Trailways bus depots in Killeen — but these do not reach the ranch itself, reached only by car via Hwy 195 / FM 2670 / Maxdale Road.

Start/finish at Parrie Haynes Ranch, 13816 Maxdale Rd, Killeen, TX 76549 (Bell County) — a remote Boys & Girls Club-operated ranch property, about 24 miles north of Austin via Florence.

Richochet's Riot is a trail race held at Parrie Haynes Equestrian Ranch near Killeen, divided into the 50K, 25K, 25K Ruck (weighted-pack division), 10K, and 5K.

Course is reported to follow the Lampasas River through gentle hills, pastures, and stream crossings.

The 50K has a time limit of 12 hours, with a separate time limit requiring the second-lap start by noon.

The venue, Parrie Haynes Equestrian Center, has 41 RV camping sites with 30/50-amp electric hookups and cabins,

tent camping is $20 per night, and there are 4 restrooms and 2 shower facilities, so many runners arrive the day before to camp.

After the finish, a "beer mile" event is also held for participants 21 and over, running four 400m laps while drinking four cans of beer.
