The race starts at 7:30 AM on Sunday, October 18, at People's Square in Rizhao, Shandong Province, and finishes at Gate No. 1 of Wanpingkou Scenic Area.

The field is limited to 15,000 runners: full marathon 3,000 and half marathon 12,000.

This year marks the 10th edition.

Gate No. 1 of Wanpingkou Scenic Area

Full marathon starts at the City People’s Square, passes Taian Road, Yantai Road, Shanhai Road and Beihai Road, then enters the Forest Park.

It continues via Shuishan Road, Heisong Road, Huaihua Road, Guanhai Avenue, Bihai Road,

Yuehai Road and Haitian 2nd Road before following Bihai Road to Gate 1 of Wanpingkou Scenic Area.

Half marathon starts at the same location and follows Taian Road, Yantai Road, Shanhai Road, Beihai Road and Bihai Road.

It turns back on Taigongdao 2nd Road, then continues via Bihai Road, Yuehai Road, Haitian 2nd Road and Bihai Road to the same finish.

Getting to the start

Rizhao People's Square (日照人民广场) — start line

Rizhao West Station (日照西站) is the city's high-speed rail hub (鲁南高铁), and Rizhao Shanzihe Airport connects to major domestic cities.

A subway system for Rizhao is still in the planning stage and not yet operational.

Getting to the finish

Wanpingkou Scenic Area Gate No. 1 — finish line for both full and half marathon

Finish is at the coastal Wanpingkou Scenic Area, separate from the start at People's Square.

Official info states city buses and a tourism shuttle line serve the area, but no specific race-day shuttle schedule found.
