Race reports: 2
Michael LinscottRan in 2021
“Be ready for those punchy uphills, they caught me off guard.”

The runner enjoyed the scenery at the Marin Headlands, but the humidity and short, steep climbs were tougher than expected. After managing the heat and low energy levels, the runner recovered in the second half and finished the race.

Sam LaBrie
“My feet were also hurting from the long, fast downhill.”

Sam Lavery tackled long climbs and descents at the Rodeo Valley Trail Run half marathon, enjoying San Francisco Bay and Pacific Ocean views. Heat and a missed aid station caused water shortages and sore feet late, but Lavery finished fourth overall and second in the 40–49 age group.

We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
