Held in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, on November 1, 2026, rain or shine, this race is organized by the Shimonoseki Kaikyo Marathon Executive Committee.

Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“The second half was really tough.”
The runner recorded the journey the day before, morning preparations, the temporary train, the route through the venue, and the process of entering the start corral. On race day, the runner experienced strong winds and large crowds, and vividly described the participant gathering and race operations.

“I was able to keep running until the finish.”
It was the runner's first race after giving birth, and drawing on their 2015 and 2019 experience, they prepared their legs and managed their pace. They fought their limits after 30K amid big elevation changes and wind, but finished within time limit, and thanked their family, the organizers, and the supporters.
