THE DREAM
The 15th Shiner Beer Run.
This year full marathon is new.
Held in Texas, it's an event to enjoy running, local culture, and beer together.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“This year it was the wind and light rain that was troublesome.”At the Shiner Beer Run half marathon, the runner held back on hills and in wind rather than overexerting. Picking up speed late on, the runner finished in 2 hours 1 minute and enjoyed the support and small-town atmosphere.
“I cranked up my music and took off.”Melissa joined the Shiner Beer Run 5km, delighted to be running again after injury. Hot, humid weather and an early climb made breathing difficult, but she used the return descent to finish and enjoyed beer and food with friends afterward.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
Preview the course and read what runners who went before you wrote.
