The race starts at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 25, at the Civic Center in Taining County, Sanming City, Fujian Province.

There is a single event, half marathon, with a field of 10,000.

It is a major race in the Fujian Marathon League.

Now in its 11th year, the course showcases the scenery of Taining, a World Natural Heritage Site and World Geopark.

Taining County Citizen's Square

Course starts at the Civic Plaza in Taining County.

The route stays the same as in previous years, linking the historic old-town district of Taining with the scenic belt along Lake Dajinhu.

The distinguishing feature of this race's route is that the old town's historic streets and the open lakeside sections are connected within a single course.

Getting to the start

Citizen's Square (County Government Square), Taining. No rail, bus, or metro station found; Taining is a small county without rail service.

The 2026 half marathon has been confirmed for the morning of 2026-10-25.

The course runs out to the Jinhu Xiafang Pier turnaround and back.

No parking or public-transit access details have been found;

the 2025 prior edition had a field of approximately 10,000 runners.

Taining is a mountainous lake county without rail access, so runners typically arrive by road from Sanming or Fuzhou.

Your body temperature drops quickly while waiting at the start, so wear a throwaway outer layer and take it off just before the gun.

Registration is first come, first served through the Zuiku platform, with a field limit of 10,000 runners.

Half marathon comes down to how well you can hold back during the opening 5km.

If you get swept up in the crowd and push pace immediately after the start, it will come back to bite you at 15km mark.
