None practical; Smithville, TX has a limited Amtrak Texas Eagle flag-stop (about twice weekly each direction), roughly 2 miles from the park, not viable for race-day travel

Start/finish at Buescher State Park, 100 Park Road 1E, Smithville, TX — reached via Hwy 71 to FM 153, then north 0.5 mi on Park Road 1; looped 7.2-mile course so start and finish are the same point Rural Texas state park venue near Smithville; the town's Amtrak stop is too infrequent to be useful for race logistics — car access is standard

Temax Trail Race runs December 12, 2026 at Buescher State Park, with shuttle from Rocky Hill Ranch at 4:45 a.m. for 104km starters.

Bib pickup: Friday noon–7 p.m., race day 5 a.m.–9 a.m. Staggered starts by distance: 104km 6 a.m., 1 mile 9 a.m. 20-hour cutoff (2 a.m. Time limit).

Full chip time on course;

finishers receive custom finisher medal, merchandise, and free official photos.
