Gangseo Heo Jun Run is a running event marking the start of the Heo Jun Festival,
which honors the achievements of the physician Heo Jun, who was born and passed away in Gangseo District —
it is the only running festival held at Seoul Botanic Park.
This run festival is open to people of all ages, letting participants run while taking in Gangseo District's nature and the scenery of Seoul Botanic Park.

“Fun and exciting finish aside, it was really, really tough.”
The runner took part in the Heo Jun Run 10 km with their CrossFit colleagues and ran at a faster pace than usual. Encouraged by the water stations and support along the course, the runner finished without stopping and also noted that the simple on-site layout was good.
“I finished in 1 hour 8 minutes and successfully finish within 1:10!!”
At the runner's third 10 km, the runner achieved the goal of 1 hour 10 minutes. The runner enjoyed the Han River course, which was mostly flat, walked briefly from 8 km onward, and found strength to finish after seeing the pacer at the end.
“It was a satisfying result considering my condition.”
At the Heo Jun Run 10 km, the runner adjusted the pace after starting too fast and finished despite foot pain in the latter part. The runner liked the course connecting Seoul Botanic Park and the Han River, as well as the character medal and snacks, but had to wait a long time for the record certification photo.
“This time, my job was to be the pacer for a younger friend from church taking on the 10K!”
The runner took part in the Heo Jun Run with colleagues and took charge of pacing an acquaintance attempting their first 10 km. The runner encouraged a colleague who was tired from the headwind after the turnaround and finished together with them, and was satisfied with the quick snack collection and medal.
“The chip-recorded time was 37 minutes 50 seconds!”
The runner took on their first running event and completed the Heojun Run 5km. The course connecting Seoul Botanic Park and the Han River felt longer than expected, but the runner enjoyed the finisher snacks and sense of achievement and wrote that they would participate again.
