Turkey Burn Ultra is a trail race held on a loop course in Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont.
The 50K consists of two laps of an approximately 16-mile (approximately 26 km) loop, while the 25K is one lap of the same loop.
Total elevation gain is approximately 700 feet (approximately 213 m), so the course is not particularly rugged.
The trail surface is 75% singletrack and 25% gravel roads and paved paths.
The park itself encompasses 11 distinct ecosystems, including sand dunes, wetland forest,
streams, and lakes, so the scenery changes noticeably throughout the course.
The start is in a large open area behind the campground, making it possible to camp the night before and line up directly at the start line.
