The Washington State Marathon is a one-way full marathon run from Marymoor Park in Redmond to Gasworks Park in Seattle.

The organizers are preparing for the first competition with the goal of creating a flat and fast marathon in the Seattle area.

Unlike a circuit where you return to where you started, you move from city to city along a path between the riverside and the forest.

The process of starting from Marymoor and coming to the final scene with the Seattle skyline is the main flow of course.

The main trails are the Sammamish River Trail and the Burke Gilman Trail.

The official introduction explains the route arriving in Seattle via Redmond, Woodinville, Bowser, Kenmore, and Lake Forest Park.

Sections running parallel to the river and paths surrounded by trees appear alternately.

Although you pass by the name of the city several times, the road you run on is a trail connection section, and the entire course is paved.

The characteristic feature is that the surface of the road is consistently paved while moving along the natural landscape.

The organizers target the first full marathon finisher and personal best runners aiming to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

The organizers are preparing for the American Association of Track and Field Federation course certification and are announcing that it will be used for qualifying records for the Boston Marathon and the U.S. Olympic Trials.

Rather than the tourist-type course that tours the main streets of Seattle, it is a marathon that connects parks for a long distance on flat roads.

Participants start at the riverside and move towards the city skyline, continuing in the same direction.

Typical race-season temperature: around 7°C (44°F)
