A half marathon linking the coastal avenues of Yuhuan, Taizhou, Zhejiang, with Yueliang Bridge,

the “Moon Bridge.” It is an A-level certified event starting and finishing at the Sports Center.

With “Run, Legal Professionals” as its subtitle, it is one of China’s rare occupation-themed races, centered on participation by legal professionals.

The 2026 Yuhuan half marathon is held on December 5 in Yuhuan County, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province.

The 2026 edition course has not been officially announced yet, with only "Coming Soon" (敬请期待) posted on the race homepage.

However, based on recent years' patterns, course uses Yuhuan Sports Center as the start and finish,

running along the Binjiang Avenue flanking the coast,

crossing Moon Bridge (月亮桥), passing through Xuanmen Bay Tunnel and Xuanmen Avenue,

and returning from the Future New City Urban Balcony.

The unique characteristic of this course is the opportunity to enjoy the expansive coastal views while crossing bridges and tunnels connecting islands and straits.

Getting to the start

Per prior edition 2025: start/finish at Yuhuan Olympic Sports Center in Yuhuan City, Taizhou, Zhejiang. Yuhuan is a county-level city with no metro/subway; access is by bus or car, typically via Taizhou high-speed rail station then local bus/taxi (~1hr) to Yuhuan.

Getting to the finish

Course is an out-and-back from Yuhuan Olympic Sports Center to Future New Town Plaza and back to the Sports Center for finish.

This event, subtitled “Run, Legal Professionals”,

is an A-class half marathon organised by the Yuhuan Municipal People’s Government and has become a themed event encouraging participation by legal professionals.

The 2026 registration schedule and capacity have not yet been announced.

The previous edition, in 2025, accepted online entries for one month from mid-September,

with a half-marathon entry fee of 120 yuan and total capacity of around 6,000 across the half marathon, 10K and fun run.

Collection details for bibs and other race materials have traditionally been announced on the official website and WeChat account about one week before race day.

One notable change is Yuhuan’s new railway connection.

Previously the only county-level city under Taizhou without a railway,

Yuhuan gained its first station when the Wenling–Yuhuan section of the Hangzhou–Taizhou high-speed railway opened on August 8, 2026.

The fastest trains can reach Yuhuan from Hangzhou in 1 hour 47 minutes, making travel to the December race considerably easier.

In early December, Yuhuan typically has mild, comfortable weather, with average daytime temperatures around 13°C and nighttime temperatures around 8°C.

However, because it is coastal, temperature swings and sea breezes are possible, so bring an outer layer.
