The road to your own record

The city you want to run becomes your next trip.
THE DREAM
This race originated from a running comic by the webcomic The Oatmeal.
The events are 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I beat the Blerch. It took an hour twenty to do it.”At Beat the Blerch, the runner enjoyed cake and a playful atmosphere along Carnation's tree-lined paths. Completing 6 miles in about 1 hour 20 minutes meant conquering a distance once thought impossible.
“And I finished, I staggered across the line and a nice person took my shoe tag away and gave me a medal.”After recovering from injury, the runner entered the Beat the Blerch Marathon on their birthday and ran to birthday songs from other participants. Heat and leg cramps made it tough, but they kept moving even just before the finish and finished.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
Preview the course and read what runners who went before you wrote.
