THE DREAM
A 6-mile loop course (half marathon adds a short out-and-back to the finish).
Crosses Camp Road, horse trails, and part of the Buckeye Trail in Richfield Heritage Preserve,
once farmland of the Obiat family, later private land of inventor Jim Kerby.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“Although the course was well-marked, many runners, including myself, experienced confusion and got lost.”John Fabianich McClay finished Crowell Hilaka Trail Run 50km, describing a stream-crossing course and smooth Packet Pickup. Several runners still got confused despite the course markings.
“A long straight portion was on the bridle trails and it was a muddy fun time!”Andrew Buck Michael ran the half marathon marathon at the first Crowell Hilaka Trail Run. After enjoying the woods, lake, and muddy bridle paths, he finished and gave his daughter the handmade necklace-style finisher’s finisher medal.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
