The 2026 GTWS Muju Trail lets you test your limits in the wild landscapes of North Jeolla Province.

Because this is trail running on rough mountain paths, having a running partner is essential for safety.

Getting to the start

City is Muju County, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea. 2026 GTWS Grand Finale trail race in/around Deogyusan National Park, staged out of the Muju Deogyuwon/Muju Resort area with 26K/18K/10K courses.

No specific shuttle, parking, or public-transit details found (official mujutrail.com pages returned 403/blocked). Foreign runners without a car should plan on intercity bus to Muju Bus Terminal then taxi/local shuttle to the Deogyusan/resort area (no direct train to Muju).

Muju is a rural mountain county with limited public transit; large trail events here typically run participant shuttles from Muju-eup or the resort to the trailhead, but not verified for this specific 2026 event.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

In October, the morning temperature drops quite a bit.

Bring an outer layer for departure, and if you are wearing short sleeves, keep your initial body temperature at arm sleeves.

The distance is short, so the pressure is not great, but if you watch out for the initial over pace, it's enough to complete the course.

Muju is a clean region known for wild wild grape wine and fireflies.

Deogyusan Mountain and Muju Resort are representative attractions.
