THE DREAM
Run together with the 2026 JTBC Marathon Companion program!
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“Ran the last ~500 m and crossed the line proud and relieved.”In their first full marathon, they ran steadily to 30 km, but walked from 32 km because of pain in the right hip, knee, and ankle. They started running again for the final 500 m and finished within the 5-hour limit.
“I completed my first full marathon !!!”
The runner completed their first marathon at the 2025 JTBC Seoul Marathon. The runner started in Sangam with Group G and had to replenish their energy gels on-site after leaving the ones they had prepared at home. The support from residents calling out the runner's name gave them strength, but the hills in the latter stages and the long, complicated route to collect refreshments after finishing were challenging.

The runner completed their first full marathon at the 2025 JTBC Seoul Marathon. Although the runner encountered a bottleneck at Yanghwa Bridge early on and hills in the latter stages, they managed their pace and didn’t walk a single step. The runner noted that their watch recorded 42.57 km in 4 hours, 2 minutes, and 12 seconds, and was grateful to finish without any significant pain.

After 12 weeks of training, the runner took part in the first JTBC full course. After getting through the early congestion in Group G, the runner increased their pace. The hills in the latter stages were tough, but the runner passed the finish line 15 minutes 24 seconds faster than their four-hour goal.

Read the original on 일상 속 이상으로“I really tried hard not to push too much at the start.”
The runner reflected that the long wait for the toilets left them underprepared before the start. Their pace dropped after 25 km, and the final 10 km was particularly tough. The runner also noted the differences between the pre-race information and the actual locations of the aid stations and snack stations.

초반에 무리하지 않으려고 정말 많이 노력했다.
Read the original on 스트렌더 blog“I still had some energy left, so I shouted encouragement with the people cheering along the course and ran while exchanging high-fives. It was really enjoyable.”
Sinung took on their first full marathon at the 2025 JTBC Seoul Marathon and finished in 4 hours 12 minutes 59 seconds. Because they had no previous time, they started in the final G corral and experienced congestion early in the race and an uphill section near the end. They finished without walking and said they especially enjoyed the support and high-fives from course.
