Packet pickup times and location are emailed to registered runners.

You need to complete the liability waiver before collecting your race kit, and collecting on someone else's behalf requires a separate signed authorization.

A runners' briefing is held at the official hotel on the afternoon before the race.

You need to be at the start line at least 30 minutes before the start.

From hotels on the Bãi Cháy side to the start in Hòn Gai is 8–10km, about 20 minutes by taxi.

At the 2025 race, bag storage ran from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the marathon, 4 to 9 a.m. for the half marathon and 5 to 9 a.m. for the 10K,

and bags larger than 60cm on any side and valuables such as cash and phones were not accepted.

According to the 2026 course map, marathon aid stations are roughly every 1.5–2km, at 3km, 4.8km, 6.5km, 8km, 9.7km and so on, each with a medical post.

The pacer team runs with large balloons showing their target times.

It's about 150km from Hanoi by expressway, taking 2.5 to 3 hours, and about 50km, or an hour by car, from Vân Đồn International Airport.
