THE DREAM
This is China’s first “Twin World Heritage” marathon, linking the Leshan Giant Buddha and Mount Emei—two World Heritage Sites.
It starts on flat roads in the old city, with views of the Giant Buddha’s profile across the river,
before continuing towards the mountainous Mount Emei section.
Half flat, half mountain—the pace split is the key to finishing strategy in this course.

Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,

This is China's first 'Two Heritage Sites' themed marathon, linking the Leshan Giant Buddha (乐山大佛) and Mount Emei, both UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Course starts at Shihao Plaza (石浩广场), passes through Leshan's old town along Jiading South Road,
Boxia Street and other streets, then enters the Binhe Road (滨河路) section.
Along Binhe Road, runners can see the Leshan Giant Buddha in profile beside the confluence of three rivers,
while the summit of Mount Emei appears and disappears among the clouds in the distance.
The latter part of course includes approximately 17.5km of mountain scenery along roads heading towards Mount Emei.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The latter part of course includes an approximately 17.5km mountain section heading towards Mount Emei.
The contrast in difficulty between the flat sections in Leshan's old town and the mountain section is pronounced,
affecting pace pacing strategy in the first half of course.
Times are local to Leshan. Check the latest official information before the race.
