The marathon event is run on the "Mie Matsusaka Marathon course", certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations,
and starts at 9:00 a.m. in front of Kuragi Bunka Hall and finishes at Matsusaka City Sports Park.
The organizer explains that this is a course where you can experience “Matsusaka,
the town of wealthy merchants,” including the castle town that was crowded with people traveling between the Ise Kaido and Wakayama Kaido roads and the notable people from the town.
The time limit is 7 hours (from the starting gun), and depending on the start corral, it may take more than 10 minutes to cross the start line after the gun.
The marathon cut-off point schedule covers 7 planned locations: 7.0km Lawson Kamatacho 10:25 (1 hour 25 minutes), 12.0km in front of Saiwai Elementary School 11:10 (2 hours 10 minutes), 16.5km Matsusaka Agricultural Park Bell Farm 11:55 (2 hours 55 minutes), 24.0km in front of Matsuo Elementary School 13:10 (4 hours 10 minutes), 30.0km in front of Kowa Industrial Complex main gate 14:05 (5 hours 5 minutes), 34.7km in front of JA Mienakaizawa Branch 14:48 (5 hours 48 minutes), 40.0km Anraku Meeting Center 15:38 (6 hours 38 minutes),
finish at 16:00.
Runners who have not reached the cut-off point by its closing time must immediately stop the race and board the sweep bus at the back of the field,
or walk to the next cut-off point and board the sweep bus stationed there.
Even before a cutoff, runners may be instructed to stop if officials judge that they cannot reach the next checkpoint in time.
The 5km event starts and finishes at Matsusaka City Sports Park, with a 10:00 start,
a time limit of 50 minutes and cut-off point provision at 1 planned location.
The Health Walk (7 km walk) starts from Matsusaka Station (South Exit) between 9:00 and 10:30 and finishes at Matsusaka City Sports Park and has a time limit of 3 hours.
For operational reasons, wheelchair participation is not permitted in the marathon or 5km event.
Results are recorded by an automatic chip-timing system.
Return your timing chip after the race.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
Registration and bib details couldn't be confirmed from public sources.
Japanese races usually mail race materials in advance or hold race-day check-in, so check the race guide (participant notice).

Your bib, along with the race gift and timing chip, is mailed in advance, so there is no race-day check-in.
Runners are, however, scheduled to have their temperature checked at the race-day check gate.
The marathon race gift is an event commemorative T-shirt mailed in advance;
the 5km gift is an original event towel;
and the health walk gift is an original event towel and cheering goods.
T-shirt sizes are entered during registration and can be changed through the RUNNET My Page during the entry period, but cannot be changed after the deadline.
A Matsusaka Yokocho omotenashi ticket worth 500 yen is distributed to everyone at the finish venue on race day and can be used for food such as Matsusaka beef and Matsusaka grilled chicken,
or for souvenirs.
Marathon runners who finish within the time limit receive a finisher medal and a finisher towel.
General-category finishers receive a digital finisher certificate showing gun time and their reference chip time.
This online finisher certificate can be downloaded and printed from race day onward.
Finishers in the registered category are later mailed an official finisher certificate showing gun time;
issuance costs 550 yen and must be requested during entry.
To receive either a finisher certificate or an official finisher certificate, runners must finish within the time limit.
A “Matsusaka Umaimon Aid” station on the course offers local specialities including Matsusaka beef;
the menu will be posted on the website once confirmed.
Runners who cannot run independently because of a disability may have a guide runner free of charge—two for the marathon category,
although only one may run at the same time, and one for the 5km category.
