THE DREAM
The Castelló Media Marathon is a half marathon marathon held in Castellón de la Plana in Spain's Valencia region.
Founded in 1984, it is the oldest city marathon in Castellón Province.
It is organized by Unió Atlètica de Castelló (UAC) and holds course certification from the Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).
The 2027 edition will be the 42nd and will follow a city-centre loop course starting and finishing at Parc Ribalta at 10:00 am on Sunday, 31 January.
More than 3,400 runners took part in the 2026 race.
It is a separate event from the city's full marathon race, with a different organizer, official website, and date.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I dropped slightly behind the group and had to tough out the final 2km alone; the last 500m seemed never-ending.”
Robert Tarragó ran the 2011 Castellón half marathon targeting 3:40 per km. Strong winds and rain caused the group to split after 16 km, and he held on alone for the final 2 km to finish in 1:20:45.

Jo em desfaig una mica del grup i els últims 2km em toca remar en solitari, on els últims 500m semblen no acabar-se mai.
Read the original on BORGES TRAIL“Still, this is my half marathon personal best.”
At the Castelló half marathon, the runner controlled the early pace to avoid the sudden fatigue at 17km that had hit in the previous two races. They couldn't accelerate at the end but set a half marathon personal best of 1 hour, 54 minutes, 38 seconds.
