two banks” full- and half marathon marathon starting at Baiyi Square in Nanchang and staying along the Gan River for an out-and-back riverside course.
It is an exceptionally flat course with less than 60m of elevation gain.

| Event | Start |
|---|---|
| Marathon42.195km | 07:30 |
| Half21.0975km | 07:30 |
Start line is in front of the Jiangxi Provincial Art Museum entrance at Bayi Square.
Course crosses the Gan River via Bayi Bridge, follows the riverside avenue north of the river upstream, and then turns back.
It then runs along the middle and southern riverside avenues in sequence, makes another out-and-back in front of the Civic Center,
and reaches the finish at Rongchuangmao without leaving the riverfront.
Because the entire course stays along the Gan River, the organizers call it the Yijiang Liang’an (一江两岸, both banks of one river) course.
Half marathon follows the same section before finishing in front of MixC.
Most of course runs straight along the riverside avenues, with few curves.

Total elevation gain is no more than 60m, with an average elevation of 29m, a low point of 21m and a high point of 37m.
The only noticeably uphill section is the Bayi Bridge over the Ganjiang River;
apart from that bridge, most of the course is flat.
The wide roads and limited number of corners make this course suitable for chasing a personal best.
The organizers describe it as a “runner-friendly course”.
