The administrative area covers 22,293㎢, while the urban area sits in a hilly basin ranging from 70m to 500m above sea level.

Qingxiu Mountain is the city's defining landmark to the south.

Getting to the start

Minzu Square Station (民族广场站), Nanning Metro Line 1

Start is at Minzu Square (民族广场), Qingxiu District. Minzu Square Station sits directly at the square; Exit A leads to Minzu Dadao/Minzu Square.

Date confirmed: Sun 20 Dec 2026 — this is the 'Nanning Marathon' (~36,000 runners), a SEPARATE event from the '2026 Nanning Half Marathon' held in March 2026.
